Me learning blender.

First Day 10/30/25

So one day I got bored and decided to learn blender.

I followed a donut tutorial (I know not very original) and learned about edit mode, how to move vertexs, and also how to edit the primitive shapes.

After that, I made an iso sphere for the cap, a cylinder for the little thing that covers the sun (forgot the name), and cut the sphere in half to make the cap

Later I combined the two objects to made a cap.

The picture on the left doesn't have shading, but the other does.

Second Day 10/31/25

This day I made the head, after I decided on modeling my roblox avatar seen here:

(No, I'm not making the shades yet, probably a detail I'll add later.)

Since I already had the cap, I started making the head. For the head, I wanted a Mario 64 kind of style so I went low poly like I did the hat

With the head I used a UV sphere then changed the top and bottom vertex to make it more l ike a head than a sphere.

After, I added a UV map to it after looking up on the internet. (I just pressed u and modified a bit)

Then, I put the hat on the head and called it a day (I'm kinda tried [&] it's halloween, I got candy to eat.)

On the top is the UV map, the bottom left the rendered photo (without shading), and the bottom right is the final rendered picture (with shading)

Thrid Day. 11/1/25

So turns out the UV I made for the head wasn't too great cuz I didn't have enough time to watch the full video tutorial (it was halloween ok?), so I decided to just follow a tutorial

anyways, I used the quad unwrap thing and it gave me something like this, which looks good besides the top and bottom part but whatever. I plan to make the torso today, probably starting with a box or sphere then modeling it to be more of a oval shape.

Later in the day, I got back in blender and made the torso. I got a UV sphere, then changed some of the vertexs at the top and bottom to look more like a torso (kinda like mario 64 idk). I'll probably make it slightly more blocky around the waist but right now it's fine besides the UV mapping.

Torso and head with shading.

Head Back?
